About NAVAGATI 2026

AI is redefining how people and goods move across roads, rails, skies, waters and the digital infrastructure that connects them.

Vision

Safe, sustainable and computationally scalable mobility

NAVAGATI 2026, the International Conference on AI for Transportation and Mobility, brings researchers, industry and policy-makers together to advance safe, sustainable and computationally scalable mobility.

The conference invites original contributions under six major themes, each with six focused sub-themes. Together they cover intelligent traffic and urban mobility, autonomous and electric vehicles, public transport and railways, logistics and supply chains, aviation and maritime, and the advanced AI, computing and sustainability methods that connect them.

Two flagship tracks, High-Performance Computing for Mobility and Green, Low-Carbon & Climate-Resilient Mobility, each get a dedicated sponsored session, a keynote and a student paper award.

Objectives

What NAVAGATI 2026 sets out to do

Advance research

Share state-of-the-art AI methods for perception, prediction, planning and optimisation across every transport mode.

Bridge to practice

Connect academic research with operators, OEMs and start-ups deploying AI on real networks.

Drive sustainability

Put low-carbon, climate-resilient and equitable mobility at the centre of the AI agenda.

Build trust

Encourage safe, secure, explainable and human-centred AI, and inform policy and standards.

Scale compute

Show how HPC and GPU-accelerated AI enable city-scale simulation and digital twins.

Nurture talent

Recognise student researchers through dedicated paper awards and mentoring.

Host

Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur

Founded in 1951, IIT Kharagpur is the first of the Indian Institutes of Technology. Its Department of Aerospace Engineering works across aerodynamics, propulsion, flight mechanics, structures and computational science, which makes it a natural home for a conference on AI across all modes of mobility, from the ground to the air.
